Stabio is a municipality in the canton of Ticino in Switzerland. The municipality has about 4'500 inhabitants and is located about 10 km from Chiasso or 5 km from Mendrisio. The three most famous cities in the immediate area - Varese, Lugano and Como - can all be reached in less than half an hour by car.
Economically, Stabio is located directly in the Mendrisio catchment area, which has established itself as a centre for fashion (among other things, the FoxTown Factory Stores). In addition to the fashion industry, other companies with over 100 employees are also present in Stabio, such as Montanstahl or VF International (The North Face, Wrangler, Timberland etc.). Stabio has the lowest tax base in the canton of Ticino, accounting for 65%.
The property is located in a very quiet location without much traffic. The nearest bus stop is only 150 m away and the highway access can be reached in five minutes. The basic supply is secured by a Coop, a small Denner as well as post and bank offices. In addition, the town has a public thermal bath, which offers various treatments as well as a swimming pool. Within a radius of five kilometres are various kindergartens, primary schools and middle schools.
